Training Runs  2017


For all runners


January sessions start from the pool at 7 pm as usual

23rd January  Tipple & Tuck Run  –  Start from The Burton & finish in The Burton - bags can be left there.  Great bar food  All runners welcome including 6.30 group, either go to the pub after your run (means you get more pub time) or turn up at 8 pm when the 7 pm runners get back.

30th January  -  Timed Run


6th February - Bolton St - Parkham (You know you love hills)





As from 16th January in addition to above, at an earlier time of 6.30  

One you Couch to 5k in Nine Weeks.


January  16, 18, 23, 25, 30  & 1st February - Wks 1, 2 & 3                          

February 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27  & 1st March - Wks 4, 5, 6 & 7  

March  6 ,8,13  & 15 - Wks 8 & 9


The sessions will follow the Public Health England One You Couch to 5K app, so if you are unable to make a night, you can run it in your own time and keep up with the group.  The first few weeks are walk/jog sessions to build confidence, stamina and strength and over nine weeks you will build up to being able to run for 30 minutes without a break.  To achieve this you will need to commit to 3 runs a week, but these do not all need to be with the group, as you will have the app to follow.  The One you couch to 5K app is freely available for smartphones and it is advised you have this to use.





Get motivated! Enter a race or 2 to keep a goal in mind. Take up a challenge, try different terrains or distances.
